Bridging the Gap
In today’s interconnected world, businesses face urgent challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and social inequality. The financial risks to businesses that fail to acknowledge this is no longer negotiable. In tandem, the imperative for universities to equip future business leaders with robust sustainability and ethical practices has never been more pressing (Lozano et al., 2015). Yet despite some progress, a substantial gap persists between academic learning and the practical skills and knowledge that are needed in our real-world corporate environments. In line with this multifaceted issue, we can explore and provide a comprehensive analysis, including actionable recommendations to bridge the gap effectively, preparing a new generation of business leaders committed to driving positive environmental and social impact worldwide.
Many universities and businesses have taken steps to incorporate sustainability and ethical practices into their programs and operations.
